Bipin Shah is the CEO and founding force behind Power Consultants LLP, bringing over 51 years of deep technical expertise in the electrical engineering domain. An Electrical Engineering graduate from Mumbai University, he began his career with TATA Consultancy Services, where he specialized in core relay testing and power system studies for 9 years before establishing Power Consultants in 1987.
Under his leadership, Power Consultants LLP has evolved into a respected name in the field of power system design, relay testing, and relay coordination services. Mr. Shah has successfully led projects across a wide range of industries including petrochemicals, chemicals, cement, fertilizers, and infrastructure—executing work for both government and private sector clients nationwide.
He is highly regarded in the industry for his versatile experience in protection relays testing and relay coordination for complex electrical systems—ranging from 400kV switchyards to low-voltage equipment. His strategic approach to electrical distribution system analysis, combined with hands-on experience in high-voltage (HV), medium-voltage (MV), and low-voltage (LV) systems, positions him as a go-to expert for critical and challenging assignments.
Bipin also leads the firm’s computer-aided power system studies, covering areas such as: Load Flow Analysis, Short Circuit Studies, Transient Stability, Motor Starting Studies, Arc Flash Hazard Analysis, Relay Coordination.

Managing Director
Dhaval Shah is the Managing Director of Power Consultants LLP and brings over 21 years of experience in the electrical engineering industry. A graduate in Electrical Engineering from Mumbai University, he has been a key force in carrying forward the company’s legacy while expanding its vision for the future. Under his leadership, Power Consultants LLP has significantly broadened its service portfolio, introducing advanced capabilities such as arc flash hazard analysis, transient stability studies, harmonic measurement and analysis, as well as testing, commissioning, installation, and retrofit services for electrical equipment.
His early career involved extensive fieldwork, including testing and commissioning of generators, 220kV switchyards, and high/medium/low voltage systems, giving him a practical edge in understanding complex electrical infrastructure. He continues to oversee large-scale system studies and technical execution with precision and insight.

With 46 years of extensive industrial experience, including 13 years in the Middle East (Yanbu Cement, Saudi Arabia, and Al Qaim, Iraq on deputation from ACC), he has expertise in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and managing plant operations and maintenance. His 22 years with ACC Cement included overseeing 36 cement plants to enhance electrical maintenance systems, implement condition monitoring techniques, and improve MTBF, MTTR, and RCFA.
As Sr. VP at an electrical asset testing company, he managed India operations independently. Currently, he focuses on team building, streamlining site activities, and business development.
